Report an Accident Caused by Someone Committing a DUID
Generally speaking, you should report most automobile accidents in Los Angeles. The police should be told about any accident that results in an injury, for example. You should also notify law enforcement if you suspect that the driver who hit you was under the influence of drugs.
A law enforcement officer can come to the scene of your accident. They may investigate what happened by speaking with witnesses. They can also administer field sobriety tests and other assessments to drivers who they suspect are under the influence of drugs.
The results of tests from law enforcement officers can help your lawyer prove that you were struck by a driver who was committing a DUID. The officer will file an official report about your wreck, which can be very useful as you pursue compensation for all of your injuries.
Once you report your accident to the police, it’s important that you reach out to a personal injury lawyer in Los Angeles. Contact Simmrin Law Group to improve your odds of getting full compensation for all of your losses.
