Unlike most motor vehicle accidents, airplane crashes can take a far longer to investigate. It can be frustrating for surviving members to get real answers about what exactly went wrong and determine who is at fault. Because of the potential factors involved, sometimes it may take months or even years before investigators can forensically piece things together.
