The Santa Clarita Valley Signal reported on a rollover accident that trapped a person inside their vehicle in Saugus this afternoon. The accident happened at Alamogordo Road and Cabrera Avenue.
The images in the article clearly show the roof completely caved in. Firefighters had to render aid and get at least one person out of the vehicle and take them to the hospital. The article is unclear if there were more in the vehicle besides the driver.
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the car struck a light pole and overturned. It’s unknown why the driver struck the pole at this time.
In some cases, you can still get compensation for a single-vehicle accident. If you have personal coverage, your policy may protect you and your vehicle. Or if there’s a problem with the roadway, you could sue the maintenance team or whoever is responsible for the road.
However, if this driver was speeding or intoxicated, which we are not saying was the case, such claims would be much harder to pursue in court. Personal injury attorneys have to weigh evidence like this all the time before deciding to take on a case.
We hope that the injured parties in this case have a full recovery.
