Traffic signals, street signs, and road markings all play an essential role in maintaining the safe flow of traffic on our streets and roadways. White lines marked on pavement indicates that traffic flows in a single direction, while dotted yellow lines show that traffic flows in both directions. Solid yellow lines indicate that passing slower moving vehicles is considered unsafe and that drivers should wait to pass. Passing other vehicles when there’s a solid, double yellow line can lead to accidents which can cause severe injury or even death.
It appears that such an accident happened in Moreno Valley last month and has resulted in one person dead and seven others injured.
