SoFi stadium is the site of NFL games, concerts, WrestleMania matches, and various other major events. SoFi was the first stadium in United States history to win a Jury Award, acknowledging it as exceptional. But the owners, managers, and employees of even exceptional spaces can behave negligently and cause harm to fans and guests.

How Slip and Falls Can Happen at SoFi Stadium
Despite its awards, SoFi stadium is not immune to slip-and-fall accidents. In fact, after a recent event resulted in many injured fans, NBC Sports gave SoFi an “F for its performance in the rain,” and commentators urged officials to investigate and correct safety issues swiftly.
Weather
The stadium is a hybrid model, meaning some sections are inside while others are outside and exposed to the elements. When events, such as the one previously mentioned, take place on rainy and/or windy days, concourses become wet and spattered with puddles, making it all too easy for attendees to slip and fall.
Spills
Fans do not just watch events while at the stadium. They also eat, drink, and spill refreshments and make a mess of bathrooms. If spills are not attended to promptly, they can create slippery surfaces hazardous to all.
When spills and bathrooms are cleaned, the cleaning process itself creates wet floors. If these areas are not marked with caution signs, pre-occupied fans can slip on those surfaces.
Foot Traffic
SoFi stadium has a regular capacity of 70,000 people but is expandable and can hold over 100,000 for major events. It sustains tremendous foot traffic.
While fans need to take care to walk safely, the stadium must ensure it has enough employees in place to facilitate crowd movement and to watch for potential dangers.
Other Hazards
SoFi must ensure concourses, stairwells, and all areas open to fans are well-lit and free of trip-inducing obstacles. Employees need to keep an eye out for malfunctioning escalators and facilitate safety on working ones so patrons do not tumble off.

What to Do After a SoFi Stadium Slip and Fall Accident
If you slip or take a fall at SoFi stadium, find an employee and report the accident as long as you can safely move. Otherwise, ask a bystander to find an employee, and if you need emergency care, wait for emergency services to arrive.
If you can, take pictures of the scene of your slip, trip, or fall. Be sure to capture any hazards, such as a wet floor, broken step, or other obstacle that contributed to your accident. Take photos of the overall environment and your injuries, and get contact information from bystanders who witnessed your fall.
For injuries not requiring emergency medical care, see a doctor promptly anyway. Swift medical care is critical to your health and your case as the effects of some injuries, even very serious ones, can take time to appear, and stadium representatives can blame your worsened condition on the postponement of care rather than their negligence. Then, call Simmrin Law Group to connect with a Los Angeles slip and fall accident attorney.

Why You Need Fair Compensation Following a Fall at SoFi Stadium
Slips and falls often produce substantial injuries. Some, like broken bones, usually heal, but you still miss time away from work as you recover and still need acknowledgment for your pain.
Other injuries have life-changing effects. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), falls are a major cause of traumatic brain injuries (TBIs). Mild TBIs, such as concussions, can cause problems with cognitive function, and more serious ones can leave victims with chronic pain, long-term mobility problems, non-functioning body systems, or being completely incapacitated.
It is also possible to sustain a spinal cord injury from a fall. According to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), spinal cord damage “can cause temporary or permanent changes in sensation, movement, strength, and body functions below the site of injury.”
