Reasons Pharmacy Misfills Happen in South Gate
You may wonder why you received the wrong medication in South Gate. After all, pharmacists receive years of training to properly dispense medications. Unfortunately, they do not always perform their jobs properly.
Some pharmacy misfills happen because pharmacists are over-worked. They may end up trying to fill more prescriptions than they can, in order to keep up with the demand in the community. This could cause them to rush and make mistakes. Some examples of simple mistakes include:
- Substituting a medication with a similar name
- Substituting a medication that looks like your correct prescription
- Providing the correct medication in the wrong dosage
These mistakes may have serious impacts on your health and well-being. Pharmacy misfills in South Gate also take place because of errors on the part of doctors. Some medical professionals order you the wrong medication. They may also write a prescription in an illegible way. In this case, a pharmacist may correctly fill the prescription as written and still provide you with the wrong medication.
We’re here to review the facts of your specific case. Just reach out to a South Gate pharmacy misfills lawyer to get help. Contact Simmrin Law Group and start working on your legal claim.
