According to the report by the NTSB, the driver of the Dodge had a blood alcohol level over twice the legal limit, had no driver’s license, and may have been high on marijuana at the time of the crash. However, the NTSB and the California Highway Patrol are continuing with further toxicology testing. The report states that both drivers may have been intoxicated at the time of the crash.
Given the grave nature of the crash, they are likely waiting on the results of these tests and to finish their analysis before proceeding with pressing charges. We wish to extend our sincere condolences to the families and hope that justice is done in this tragic case.
